Denise Richards Defends OnlyFans, Compares It to Playboy & Maxim: ‘What’s the Big Deal?’

Denise Richards is back in the spotlight with her new Bravo docuseries, Denise Richards & Her Wild Things, premiering Tuesday night. The series offers a behind-the-scenes look at her family life, co-parenting with Charlie Sheen, and her controversial OnlyFans journey—a move she says is no different from her past work with Playboy and Maxim.

Denise Richards Returns to Reality TV with ‘Wild Things’

After a four-year break from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Denise Richards is back on Bravo, but this time, she’s telling her own story. Denise Richards & Her Wild Things promises a raw, unfiltered look at her life beyond the headlines, featuring her daughters Sami and Lola, as well as her husband Aaron Phypers and youngest daughter Eloise.

Richards says her kids were excited about the project, particularly her eldest daughter Sami Sheen, who has gained public attention for her OnlyFans career.

“They’ve always lived in the shadow of their parents,” Richards told Yahoo Entertainment. “This was a great opportunity for them to have their own voice.”

Denise Richards on OnlyFans: ‘I Control What’s on There’

Richards made waves when she joined OnlyFans in 2022—right after Sami launched her own page. While some saw it as a bold move, her daughter was initially “pissed.”

“She thought I was taking away her subscribers,” Richards joked. “I told her, ‘We’re in two different age groups, so you don’t have anything to worry about.’”

The Wild Things star doesn’t understand the stigma around OnlyFans, arguing that it’s simply the modern evolution of Playboy and Maxim, where she posed in her early career.

“I don’t know why people make such a big deal out of it,” Richards said. “I control what’s on there—no one else.”

Richards’ husband, Aaron Phypers, is fully supportive of her OnlyFans content.

“He trusts me,” she said. “He knows I’m not going to put anything inappropriate on there. I always run things by him.”

Navigating Divorce, Co-Parenting & Blended Family Life

Richards has been candid about her tumultuous divorce from Charlie Sheen, which played out in the public eye at the height of his Two and a Half Men fame.

“It was really difficult,” she admitted. “There were so many lies and misunderstandings, and it affected my career.”

Despite the ups and downs, Richards and Sheen now have a healthy co-parenting relationship. She’s also developed a close bond with Sheen’s ex-wife, Brooke Mueller, who makes a cameo in the new series.

“At the end of the day, we’re still a family,” Richards explained. “Brooke is the mom to the girls’ brothers, so I try to keep it peaceful.”

Why ‘Denise Richards & Her Wild Things’ is a Must-Watch

With exclusive family insights, an unfiltered look at Hollywood life, and Richards’ candid takes on OnlyFans, parenting, and fame, Denise Richards & Her Wild Things is shaping up to be a must-watch reality TV event.

Catch the premiere Tuesday night on Bravo and stream it on Peacock.
