Marvel Studios has officially unveiled new details about its highly anticipated MCU reboot of The Fantastic Four, titled Fantastic Four: First Steps, during CinemaCon 2025. Introduced by Kevin Feige in a special video message from the set of Avengers: Doomsday, the upcoming Phase 6 Marvel movie promises a fresh take on Marvel’s First Family with a retro-futuristic twist.
Meet the New Fantastic Four Cast
The new Fantastic Four MCU cast features:
- Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards / Mr. Fantastic
- Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm / Invisible Woman
- Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm / Human Torch
- Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm / The Thing
The preview revealed that Sue Storm is pregnant, adding an emotional layer to the superhero team dynamic, while teasing the iconic Fantasticar in action through a vibrant 1960s-inspired cityscape.
Galactus and Silver Surfer Confirmed for the MCU
The plot of Fantastic Four: First Steps centers on four astronauts whose journey into space leaves them forever altered. Now equipped with superpowers, they must defend Earth from Galactus, a world-devouring cosmic threat, and his enigmatic Herald, the Silver Surfer, portrayed by Julia Garner.
According to the official synopsis, the team must juggle superhero duties with their familial bonds while confronting a threat that’s not only galactic—but personal.
The Fourth Fantastic Four Film — And the First in the MCU
This is the fourth cinematic attempt to bring Marvel’s Fantastic Four to the big screen. Previous versions include:
- The unreleased 1994 Roger Corman version
- The 2005 Tim Story adaptation starring Chris Evans
- The 2015 reboot from Josh Trank, which was met with critical failure
Now under Disney and Marvel Studios, the Fantastic Four franchise is getting the full MCU treatment for the first time, with Kevin Feige steering the vision forward.
