Frontier Developments has revealed the Planet Coaster 2 roadmap for the next few months, detailing exciting new features arriving in March and April. While the theme-park building sequel had a mixed launch in October, its post-release updates have steadily improved the experience, bringing more customization, new attractions, and improved mechanics.
January’s update enhanced flume simulation, while February introduced customizable video billboards. Now, players can look forward to round-bottomed flumes arriving in March, followed by fully buildable restaurants in April.
March Update: Flume Upgrades and a New Ride
The Planet Coaster 2 roadmap confirms that Update 3, arriving on March 20, will expand flume ride customization. This update improves guest movement on flume pieces, enhances raft physics, and introduces inflatable deformation, making rafts bend and squash more realistically. It also debuts round-bottomed flumes, adding more variety to water attractions.
Beyond water rides, Update 3 brings new rollercoasters, including the Vector inverting suspended coaster, plus the return of the Western park theme, which lets players design a classic frontier-style amusement park.
April Update: Buildable Restaurants & More Attractions
Update 4, coming in April, adds in-park restaurants, allowing players to construct dining establishments alongside traditional food stalls. These restaurants will serve multiple guests at once, potentially improving visitor satisfaction and streamlining park management.
Additionally, the update will introduce a mystery ride, which Frontier has yet to reveal, further expanding the game’s coaster lineup.
Planet Coaster 2 Updates Beyond April
The Planet Coaster 2 roadmap doesn’t stop there—Frontier has hinted at more updates coming in May, including additional gameplay improvements and new attractions. Both the March and April patches will continue refining performance, stability, and economy management, ensuring a smoother simulation experience.
For now, players can prepare for Update 3 on March 20, followed by more content in the months ahead. Planet Coaster 2 fans have plenty to look forward to as the game continues to evolve with exciting new features.
